Deanna Bayless Licensed Veterinary Technician Deanna Bayless has dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Animal Science and Dairy Science from Virginia Polytechnic and Virginia State University. He also has an Associate's of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Columbia State University and has been a practicing Licensed Veterinary Technician since 1990.

Deanna is married and has two sons.

Christopher L. WillmonLicensed Veterinary Technician Christopher L. Willmon has more than 14 years of Emergency and Critical Care experience with six years of General Practice experience. After graduating from high school in 1982, he attended Northeast State Community College where he graduated in 1989 with an Associate's in Finance & Administration. He then entered the University of South Alabama, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Banking in 1989. After a break in his studies, Christopher returned to school and earned an Associate's in Veterinary Technology from Snead State Community College in 1998.

He has three children—Maegan, Emily, and Trevor—and one grandson named Clayton. His interests include attending church at Spirit of the Cross and singing in the choir. He also enjoys spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors.

Heather Holman-KingHeather Holman-King is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician. She is a 2002 graduate of North Sand Mountain High School and attended Snead State Community College where she earned an Associate's in Veterinary Technology in 2004. Heather has been involved with Emergency and Critical Care since 2005 and is licensed in Alabama and Tennessee.

She lives in Flat Rock, Alabama, with her husband Mark.

Lisa CalahanLicensed Veterinary Technician Lisa Calahan was born in Miami, Florida, and has been a resident of North Alabama for more than 25 years. In 1990, she earned an Associate's degree in Accounting from Gadsden Business College in Gadsden, Alabama. Then in 2000, Lisa earned an Associate's degree in Applied Science from Snead State Community College.

She has five years of experience in Emergency and Critical care, seven years of experience in General Veterinary Practice, and eight years of experience in Canine Search and Recovery as a K-9 Handler. As such, she is a Certified Search and Recovery Tech II with certification in Cadaver Recovery and has multiple finds. She is also certified in Land Cadaver Recovery and has worked with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the FBI in this capacity.

Lisa is married with two children, Jessica and Megan.

Katie PalmiscnoVeterinary Assistant Katie Palmiscno joined the staff at Animal Emergency Clinic of North Alabama in November 2004 as a part-time employee and transitioned to fulltime in July of 2005. She began her career in the animal care field in 2001.

She says her favorite part of the job is seeing how the pets we treat respond to the treatment and care they are provided by our team.
